From 2015-2019, he was the only pediatrician member of the Stakeholder Engagement Board for the MidSouth Practice Transformation Network (MSPTN). The MSPTN was a dynamic network of over 4000 physicians through nearly 100 primary care and specialty practices across Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Kentucky. It was formed as part of the CMS sponsored Transforming Clinical Practices Initiative (TCPI) created to help clinicians advance their practices, lower healthcare costs, and improve the health of their patients. MSPTN helped participating practices achieve healthier patients, better coordinated care, and greater financial success at no cost to providers. MSPTN was one of 29 practice transformation networks (PTNs) nationwide and was awarded $28.8 million over 4 years. It was led by Vanderbilt University Medical Center in close association with Baptist Memorial Healthcare.
